Price Increase Goes into Effect May 1st, 2015
It's been 10 years since we first set the pricing for our
products and maintenance. In those 10 years, we haven't had a
single price increase. Starting in May however, we will increase
our prices by a modest 10%. If you have a maintenance renewal
coming up this year and would like to renew early, if you can get
it in before May, it will save you some money!
PERMS Integrator
A few months ago, an upgrade to PERMS caused problems in PERMS
Integrator. The images generated by PERMS Integrator were no longer
being accepted by PERMS through the XML Batch Import process. We
fixed that problem soon after we were notified of the issue, but
will not officially release this version until NGB renews our
maintenance contract, which expired in December 2014. They have
been working the contract for it since January, so hopefully it
will be completed soon.
In addition to this fix, we've also added new features to the
PDF to TIFF function. The new functionality includes the ability to
index the PDF documents as they are converted and send them over
into PERMS via the XML Batch Import. We've also added the ability
to convert Word documents the same way with a Word to TIFF
function.
With our Case Management system, you are now able to attach
documents to cases and have them sent to PERMS through PERMS
Integrator as part of a customized workflow. These documents show
in the "Process Queue" option within PERMS Integrator.
Awards Tracking System
A new version of the Awards Tracking System is now available.
This version includes enhancements for you to be able to customize
the workflow for handling DA638s and Service Awards by award type.
It also includes the ability to update the next AFRM and ARCAM
dates in the LSDB table in SIDPERS, plus several bug fixes and
other minor enhancements. In the next release, we will be handling
the DA638 board process, as well as be able to send Award
certificates directly into PERMS using the same integration
capabilities our Case Management system uses.
Case Management
We've created a library of pre-defined case types for our Case
Management system:.
Case
Type Library
This library includes the ability to automatically generate
cases based off of conditions you find in SIDPERS or RCAS (e.g.
expired attachments, ING expiration date has passed, invalid
punctuation in addresses, discharge or separation orders published
in MILPO Orders, etc.) We have an Import/Export Case Type function
within the Case Management system that will allow you to import
these case types as well as share them with other states.
We've also added more capabilities to create custom workflows
and, as mentioned above, the ability to automatically send attached
documents over to PERMS Integrator and have them imported into
PERMS.
